Bless It Forward Ministires Blog - New July 2021

A little place for me to share my creative bible journaling with you, to hopefully encourage and inspire you.

A little bit about me, I am a wife, mother and childminder based in Derbyshire, who enjoys being creative in my bible study time. I am reliant on God & strive to be a good example.

My objective for sharing with you all is. I want to make a difference in people’s lives, by encouraging and inspiring others, through what I share. I know it seems like such a huge ambition, and perhaps naïve, but quantity is not everything. So even if what I share helps one individual in their journey through life I will feel really happy.

So enjoy a scroll those my posts and hopefully you will feel encouraged.

Cast all your anxiety on Him

18th August 2021

📖 1 Peter 5:7 Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for us.

So, this morning, while enjoying some quiet prayer time, as it’s was going to be a long morning as I await news regarding the family situation we are facing…  how amazing is God that He lead me to a Journaling entry this morning I did back in March 2018… and what a powerful reminder it is.

1 Peter 5:7 says "Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for us".

Do you feel tired of wrestling over and over again with the same old concerns? Situations? Disappointments … etc. Well if that answer is yes… God is waiting for you to just throw it on him, and let him carry your burdens. Jesus said we could cast all of our cares on him because he cares for us, he loves us! And there is nothing we are going through that we cannot cast on the Lord that he can’t handle. So, Let God handle your situations, and wow the change and release you will feel as God fills you with his peace.

Do to others as you would have them do to you

15th August 2021

📖 Luke 6:31 Do to others as you would have them do to you.

Sometime we need this reminder, how ever hard it can be from Luke 6:31 Do to others as you would have them do to you.

A simple command, right ??? !

If we could be honest for a moment, our human nature finds it very easy to be kind, respectful helpful etc to those who know and get along with well…. BUT well those people we may not like so such much, the people who cut you off in traffic, skip in line at the grocery store, the people who hurt or disappoint you? Well this can be a struggle.

Sometimes when these situations pop up with others we may struggle with, we need to step back and look at ourselves and ask some questions…. For example, Have you ever been distracted in your driving and accidentally cut off someone else? Or have you been dealing with an irritable child and without realizing it jumped in line at the grocery store not really intending to? Have you ever hurt or disappointment someone? …. In those moments, how would you want others to treat you? You would want them to understand the situation you are in and show you grace, compassion, and forgiveness, right?

So, yes sometimes it may be hard But thankfully with the help of God's Holy Spirit who indwells us, we are able to do our best in obeying what Christ commands of us in His word in treating others the way we want to be treated, even when it seems hard.

God is my Refuge and Strength

8th August 2021

📖 Psalm 46:1 God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble.

This is my creative journaling Psalm 46:1, I designed a tip-in to tape into my bible.

💭Where can we go when all the walls fall and all hope is lost?

To our God, who is our Father. Our Rock, our Hope and our Protector, Who hears our cries for help and healing. Who will stay close by as we face the stresses and challenges in our life, and will give us the protection and strength needed to through all situations.

Trust in the Lord with all your heart

8th August 2021

📖 Proverbs 3:5-6 Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; 6 in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight.

My handcut papercut design for Proverbs 3:5-6. This is a verse I have been soaking on for a few days now, as we face the hard situations here with a family situation.

💭Well, we will always face difficulties, test trials and uncertainty in our life journey. we will also spend time trying to figure out what to do in our situations and Wandering which way to turn and what to do?

Well I just love these Bible verses as a reminder that we are not supposed to lean on ourselves, but to lean on God. To trust Him no matter the situations we face in life. Trust in God is the working of our faith. When we trust Him, we show that we have faith in Him. God is faithful to those who are faithful to Him. When we trust God, He moves on our behalf.

When we choose to put our trust in God, we have the God of Heaven on our side. Think about that for a moment! Yes I know #wow

Be strong in the Lord

25th July 2021

📖 Ephesians 6:10 Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power.

My creative journaling (a handcut papercut design) for Ephesians 6:10 verse I have spent the last week soaking on and really letting it sink in for where I am right now, as we as a family face a very hard situation.

💭Living as a Christian can be very hard, and we need power to do it. That’s why here we see Paul says “Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power.” As we need power, but we need to seek this power not in ourselves, but instead, we need to seek it in the Lord Jesus Christ.

Christ is alive and is now in that powerful position of victory at God’s right hand. And for believers in Christ, that power is ours. We simply need to come before out Father in prayer, to remember that this power is ours, and to receive it from his hand.

I am the Vine you are the branches

22nd July 2021

📖 John 15:5 I am the vine; you are the branches. If you remain in me and I in you, you will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing.

My creative journaling for John 15:5. I was inspired to create from a devotional page I read from “ Quite Time with God Devotional- by Joyce Meyer”….

❣️God is our power source

❣️Life in Christ is not a do-it-yourself project

❣️Ask God for His help, strength and guidance

Remember God is always with me, He is my source, my unfailing provider, lean on his strength rather than my own.

Never Give up

18th July 2021

📖Isaiah 12:2  Surely God is my salvation; I will trust and not be afraid. The Lord, the Lord himself, is my strength and my defence; he has become my salvation.”

Re-sharing a creative bible journaling page I did a year ago today…. And also a verse I am pleased God lead me to again, as I deal with the hard situation that happened this last week.

💭Even when it seems the world is falling down around us we should be able and willing to trust God and not be afraid. To hold to him as our strength and defence. To know that he is our salvation. How much better when we can pass through the trials of life knowing that our life is in God’s hands, and trusting him in all things

Never Give up

9th July 2021

📖 Galatians 6:9 - Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up.

This is a creative journaling entry I did back on January 2021 for Galatians 6:9

💭 This verse is a reminder that good things take time, and often, they take a lot of work. But that doesn’t mean our efforts are fruitless.

Build on a solid foundation

20th June 2021

📖 Luke 6:47-49 Everyone who comes to Me and hears My words and acts on them, I will show you whom he is like: 48he is like a man building a house, who dug deep and laid a foundation on the rock; and when a flood occurred, the torrent burst against that house and could not shake it, because it had been well built. 49“But the one who has heard and has not acted accordingly, is like a man who built a house on the ground without any foundation; and the torrent burst against it and immediately it collapsed, and the ruin of that house was great.

My creative journaling I did for our word of the week which was foundation.

I was lead to Luke 6:47-49 Where Jesus explains the difference between a wise builder and a foolish one.

A builder who is wise hears the Word of God, applies it to his life, and as a result, stands firmly through turbulent times. However, because the foolish builder doesn’t obey or apply God’s principles and instructions, he’s ruined when a raging storm hits his life.

As a follower of Christ, your spiritual foundation is vital to our life journey with God. Following God and submitting to his wisdom enables you to build a solid foundation based on God’s values.

I was also less to soak in this worship song…
